Now I’m a dr.!

Only when I take a look at the sea of gifts, flowers and cards I know it’s real, because in the middle: there it is: the silver cocoon holding my PhD.! I am now officially dr. Amber Walraven!
I had a great time yesterday. I had fun during my defense, the reception and the dinner. All my familiymembers, friends and colleagues who were present in real or in spirit: thank you sooooo much! I felt so loved and special yesterday.
It feels a bit strange that four year of work has now really come to an end……. a bit sad….
But: my new job in Enschede will have lots of things for me to take up with the same enthousiasm and spirit I had with my PhD. research.
And since this line of research has had a lot of attention, and also got me more invitations to meetings and even another radioshow, I really hope I can continue this line in Twente.
